Christchurch Flower Delivery

Harakeke Florist offers beautiful, fresh flower delivery throughout Christchurch and surrounding areas from our florist store in Sumner.

Whether you're sending flowers for a birthday, anniversary, sympathy, thank you, celebration or simply because, our florists create each bouquet by hand using beautiful seasonal flowers selected fresh for the day.

We offer same-day flower delivery in Christchurch Monday to Saturday, with delivery available to homes, workplaces and many surrounding rural areas.

Same-Day Flower Delivery Christchurch

For same-day delivery, please place your order before: 

Monday to Friday 

- Residential addresses – order before 2pm

- Workplace/business addresses – order before 11am

- Rural delivery areas – order before 11am

Saturday

- Order before 11am for same-day delivery

Orders placed after the relevant cut-off will be delivered on our next available delivery day.

We do not generally deliver on Sundays, except for selected occasions such as Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. Orders placed for a Sunday will otherwise be delivered on Monday.

We are closed on public holidays.

Christchurch Flower Delivery Rates

Christchurch Standard Delivery – $16.50

Our standard Christchurch delivery rate applies to fresh flowers and gifts within our regular Christchurch delivery area.

Rural Delivery – $28

Our Rural Delivery area includes:

Rolleston, West Melton, Rangiora, Kaiapoi, Woodend, Pegasus, Waikuku, Swannanoa, Tai Tapu, Lincoln, Templeton and Cass Bay.

Same-day rural delivery may be available when your order is placed before 11am.

Rural 2 Delivery – $35

Our extended delivery area includes:

Leeston, Ohoka, Oxford, Cust, Amberley, Little River, Darfield, Fernside, Clarkville, Governors Bay, Diamond Harbour and Akaroa.

Please allow a minimum of two days' notice for Rural 2 deliveries as these areas require specialist couriers.

Deliveries from Governors Bay through to Diamond Harbour are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

Free Local Flower Delivery

We currently offer free flower delivery on orders over $75 to selected Christchurch suburbs.

For:

Sumner, Redcliffs and Mt Pleasant

Use code SUMNER at checkout.

For:

Merivale, Strowan and St Albans

Use code MERIVALE at checkout.

Free delivery codes are only valid for the suburbs listed above.

If a free-delivery code is used for an address outside the eligible area, we will contact you to arrange payment of the correct delivery fee.

If you choose to cancel your order because an additional delivery charge applies, a $10 cancellation fee will apply.

Sending Flowers to a Workplace

We love delivering flowers to Christchurch workplaces.

For the best chance of delivery during business hours, please place workplace orders before 11am and make sure you include:

- The recipient's full name

- Business or workplace name

- Full street address

- Any useful delivery instructions

The more information you provide, the easier it is for our courier to make a smooth delivery.

Delivery Addresses & Access

Please double-check the recipient's name and full delivery address when placing your order.

Where relevant, please also include the business name, apartment number, unit number, gate instructions or any other information our courier may need.

If we cannot safely access or locate a property — for example due to an incorrect address, locked security gate or aggressive dog — a redelivery fee of $16.50–$35 may apply depending on the location.

If the redelivery fee is not paid, the flowers will need to be collected from our Sumner store during business hours.

We are unable to refund orders where delivery has been unsuccessful because the address or access information supplied was incorrect or incomplete.

Incorrect Delivery Option

If you accidentally select the wrong delivery option at checkout, we'll contact you before your order is dispatched to arrange payment of any difference in the delivery fee.

Rural addresses will be charged at the applicable $28 Rural or $35 Rural 2 delivery rate.

If we cannot reach you to arrange payment, the outstanding delivery amount may need to be deducted from the value of the order.

New Zealand Gift Shipping

Alongside our Christchurch flower delivery service, many of our beautiful gift and homeware products can be shipped throughout New Zealand.

Gift orders over $80 – Free standard NZ Post shipping

Gift orders under $80 – $10 standard shipping

Free gift shipping applies to non-date-specific deliveries sent via NZ Post.

Please allow several days for your order to be prepared and dispatched.

Rural deliveries, same-day deliveries and date-specific courier deliveries do not qualify for free NZ Post shipping.

Some bulky or oversized products may incur an additional freight charge. If this applies to your order, we will contact you by email.

Please note that some oversized items cannot be shipped.
