Spring is a lovely time to bring flowers into the home. The season’s blooms have so much colour and movement, and it was a pleasure to see them paired with the beautiful shapes of Città’s vases.
We recently collaborated with Città Merivale, styling a selection of their vases with fresh spring flowers. Each vase gave us a different starting point. Some arrangements felt loose and garden-inspired; in others, a particular colour or shape took the lead.
Letting the vase lead
When we style flowers in a special vase, we begin with its shape, colour and character. A low, wide vessel calls for a different arrangement from a tall, sculptural one. From there, we choose seasonal flowers and foliage that complement the vase while still feeling natural and full of life.
For this collaboration, we played with spring colour, varied stem heights and the small details that make an arrangement feel considered. Each vase had its own personality, so the flowers didn’t all look the same.
A little spring treat
We also brought along Harakeke bouquets for the first 25 customers to enjoy on the day. It was lovely to meet people, share a little spring colour and celebrate the simple pleasure of having fresh flowers at home.
Thank you to the team at Città Merivale for inviting us to be part of the day. We loved bringing our flowers into their beautiful space and seeing how a vase and a few seasonal stems can make a room feel special.
